    Always rely on natural light. Don't over filter your pictures.

      Ask a friend to take a pic of you, go somewhere there's good lighting and you can also use filters

        It would be better to ask a friend who's a photography hobbyist or a pro so that you can have a pic that has a bokeh background

      Try to find different perspectives and figure which ones highlight your features and play with color

        Shoot from your shoulder and put other stuff in the shot like a good background

          It would be better if you use a real camera and not the one on your phone and have your friend who knows to take pictures be the one to take it

            Experiment with your phone's filters. Most common filters is sepia, you can try that one out.

                Try snapping a selfie outside, outdoors, or somewhere with a lot of nature in it. At least if you're ugly, they'll tend to look at the background instead. lmao
